Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture Marks Fifth Anniversary

This last week in June marked the fifth anniversary of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore City. The museum provides resources and information on the history of African Americans in Maryland. David T. Terry, executive director of the museum, is proud of what the museum has accomplished over the past five years. However, he does admit that there is still plenty of more work to be done.

Also, check out the article written by Baltimore Sun reporter, Tim Smith, that goes along with this video:

Ravens Sign Kicker Shayne Graham

Growing up in Baltimore, I am obviously a huge Ravens fan and that's an understatement. I watch every game and every chance I have to go to a game, believe me I am there. My family and I are such big fans that we even risked our lives to go to the AFC championship game between the Ravens and the Steelers in 2009. That was quite an experience.

Although last season ended up not being a total waste (thank goodness) I am glad that the team is looking much more promising this year. With the addition of Anquan Boldin and some great rookies, I think the Ravens really have a chance at winning the Super Bowl--knock on wood!

Recently included as a new player is Shayne Graham, kicker for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2003-2009. Today, the Ravens signed Graham, to a one year, $2.5 million contract. Graham will be competing against Billy Cundiff for the starting position.

Both players endured many difficulties last year, but I think the competition will be good for them. Hopefully they'll step up their games and really battle it out for that starting spot. Who will get it? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

GO RAVENS!
